End of Year Remarks from the BEST Chief Advocacy Officer

BEST continues to be a vehicle through which ordinary citizens can exert pressure on government policies and practices. We provide a range of necessary and beneficial advocacy services to the government and the people of Bermuda without charge. We have deliberately refrained from seeking even the tiniest government funding for two main reasons:

  • We would prefer to avoid even the slightest perception that our advocacy can be accidentally or deliberately influenced by politically controlled funding.
  • We would wish to keep our advocacy sharply attuned to the needs of our “clients”, the success of which should yield “yes” answers to our requests for funding.
