The Bermuda Environment and Sustainability Taskforce has launched a fundraising drive to coincide with founder Stuart Hayward’s 74th birthday.
The charity is urging members of the public to donate to the campaign to recognise Mr Hayward’s efforts.
“Stuart has served quietly and effectively for decades in Bermuda, ever reminding us that meaningful policy and practices protect us now and for future generations,” said Kim Smith, BEST’s resources administrator.
BEST, a registered charity, is hoping to raise $25,000 to help the group and Mr Hayward continue their work protecting the environment.
Donations can be made at www.best.org.bm, by direct deposit to their Butterfield Bank account #20-006-060-625713-100 or by presenting a cheque or cash to BEST’s offices in the Cedar Park Centre, 48 Cedar Avenue, Hamilton.
