The Bermuda Environmental Sustainability Taskforce (BEST) today announced that it had appealed the decision by the Development Applications Board (DAB) to grant final approval for:

• landfill of 11 acres in the South Basin (Dockyard),
• interim uses of the landfill (America’s Cup [AC35/ACBDA] Event Village), and
• end uses of the landfill (Department of Marine & Ports operations, a Commercial Marine Facility (boatyard) and Marina.
