Three Bermudian charities will get a cash boost from The Royal Gazette Bermuda Triangle Challenge in January next year.

Organisers of the three-day road running weekend have announced a partnership with international donation platform GivenGain and teamed up with three island charities to support their work.

The charities are the Bermuda Environmental Sustainability Taskforce, the Bermuda SPCA, and Meals on Wheels Bermuda.

The event organisers said they hoped the partnership with GivenGain will help participants raise funds for these charities.

Freddie Evans, the event chairman, said: “The Bermuda Triangle Challenge is one of the Bermuda Tourism Authority’s signature events for 2020.

“Its international and local appeal make it a natural venue for fundraising that supports charitable initiatives on the island and we’re excited to offer participants the opportunity to run for a good cause.”

GivenGain enables event participants to set up personal fundraising projects for charity and accept donations from around the world, giving the event and partner charities access to a large pool of potential donors.

GivenGain, a non-profit, has helped to raise $34 million for more than 2,200 charities in 193 countries worldwide.
